We're extremely delighted and proud to announce that after an extensive period of planning and product customization, the nationwide implementation of Little Bridge across all 32 states in Mexico has kicked-off with a fanfare, last week in Mexico City!
Working in partnership with Mexican company Chiango Maniaco, roll out has commenced of Little Bridge, to more than 80,000 teachers and up to 5million students in more than 15,000 schools across all 32 states in Mexico. Little Bridge was selected by the Mexican Ministry of Education and the Organization of an Iberoamerican States (OEI, Organizacion de Estados Iberoamericanos), as the prime component within a digital platform which will provide English digital materials to Mexico’s students of secondary education in all state secondary schools.
Commenting on the adoption, a Mexican Ministry official said:
'We are committed to giving every school student the best possible chance of learning English. Our goal is ambitious and the work that we are doing with OEI and Little Bridge is helping to achieve it.’
A special, tailor-made version of Little Bridge has been created to reflect the Mexican school curriculum, with input and support from the Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos (www.oei.es).
These photos show groups of English language coordinators and teachers from all 32 states of Mexico, who attended a series of training and orientation sessions in Mexico City during the first week of June 2012. There was a unanimously positive response to the Little Bridge software, which the Mexican government is providing to state schools throughout the country
