In total, throughout the whole of Little Bridge and every level of proficiency within the program, teachers have access to over 1,000 carefully designed, unique and different teaching and learning resources, activities, assessments, games and other materials that present, develop and assess language and curriculum points across all the language domains (listening, speaking, reading and writing) utilizing and targeting a variety of learning styles and modalities. Many of these activities are automatically assessed.
These materials and the program itself are being used by teachers across the USA to complement and support a range of ESL support models:
Versatility and ease-of-use are hallmarks of Little Bridge - Making 'life' easier, and 'work' more effective and efficient for teachers!
Often in practice, teachers will use the FREE "Scope and Sequence" materials and Teacher's Guide to cherry-pick appropriate materials and/or activities that target and support the specific learning needs of each of their learners at any given time.
These materials or resources can then either be used within (for example) pull-out sessions; or assigned to students for them to complete outside of their time with an ESL teacher; or using both approaches.
This latter case offers unique and powerful opportunities and benefits to you and your students. Critically, in addition to structured/coached support (such as ESL pull-out/push-in), students can log-in and work through other activities independently and autonomously in non-'pull out' time - before, during and after school; even potentially at home - making use of the built-in support within Little Bridge and the tracking/assessment capabilities, to move through the program and assigned learning activities at their own pace - recycling and reinforcing the language learning, and building confidence.
In this way, through working with voxED, schools have been able to significantly multiply the amount and quality of ESL support that their budgets currently afford to their ELL students and newcomers.
We'd love to discuss with you, how you and your school might be able to significantly increase and enhance the amount of ESL support provided to your ELL students and newcomers; and therefore critically...
